If I were a Country singer, I think my first song would be titled “You’re Never Gonna’ Win (So Get Used To Cryin’)”.

Spending the night in Jackson, TN. It’s our halfway point on the way home, and it was raining too hard to see, anyway.
Had a great day at the Dallas zoo today with Taylor, Genna, and Toby. Leaving in the morning for Blacksburg.
Our two kitties just stared down a very large Labrador — and won! Way to go, Alfie and Zigs!
I’ve now experienced Black Friday at NorthPark in Dallas. I got a potato masher!
Long day, lots done. I don’t think I’ve ever had a “productive” Thanksgiving before. I met new family on Josh’s side. Fun stuff. :)
I have the unrisey sourdough and houdini cat blues. Thanksgiving’s going to rock, though!
Pre-Thanksgiving trip to whatever grocery store is open, b/c I can’t make sourdough rolls with bleached flour and “lite salt”.
enjoying my time in dallas tremendously. baking sourdough rolls tomorrow!
In Dallas safely. The kitties are happy to have a new space to explore, and I’m happy not to be driving anymore. Goodnight, world!
In Cookeville, Tennessee for the night. http://devaburger.tumblr.com/post/252567632/cookieville-cookevegas-whatever
We’re on our way to Dallas, TX from Blacksburg, VA for Thanksgiving. Our goal was to do the drive in one shot, as my husband and I are on opposite sleeping schedules. Of course, getting on the road by 6am is difficult when one of us gets to bed at 3am, so we didn’t get on the road until 11. OK, fine, 11ish. More like 12:30, after getting caught in gameday traffic (we live on the same road as Lane Stadium, and Virginia Tech had a home game). Still, an early start by our standards, and the sun was shining in a clear sky as we headed south.
Having a nerd for a husband means knowing that ferrofluid stains are permanent.
Two things left to do before leaving for TX: packing the car and buying a very large supply of twizzlers sweet and sour filled twists.
I plan to get a set of these mesh produce bags with the money from my next etsy sale: http://www.etsy.com/shop/amkdesigns
Prepping for the super-long drive to Dallas coming up. Achieved so far: epic procrastination.
My shawl is finished! Now to run around the house like it’s a superhero cape.
