  1. Tubular Potholder on Flickr.
Probably the least sexy thing I’ve made in a while, but it was a fun knit, and it’s the first functional potholder I’ve made. The rest have been very … burny. It’s knit tubularly, meaning it’s a tube knit flat, a lot like double knitting. This is from Margaret Radcliffe’s book Circular Knitting Workshop. She’s local to me, and she ran a clinic at our most recent guild meeting. So. Freaking. Cool.On Ravelry

  3. knit hilbert curve on Flickr.I love crafting with fractals. Here’s a Hilbert curve cloth I knit using a twisted stitches technique. While the pattern was not intuitive (I had to rely heavily on the chart), it was an enjoyable technique, and I like the results.

  5. (via Klimtinspired handknit Moleskine sleeve by devaburger on Etsy)
I knit a Klimt-inspired Moleskine sleeve and put it up for sale.  I’m really proud of this one — the yarn hand-dyed with marigolds, the Klimt-like colorwork, and the fact that you can fit a 4x6 notebook and writing/drawing implements inside.

  11. some old hippy shawl on Flickr.
Thank you, Nerd Wars, for inspiring this colorful shawl. It’s made to illustrate the mnemonic “Some Old Hippy Caught Another Hippy Tripping On Acid,” which helps people remember the trigonometric functions.

  13. Birch | Knit Rowan

I see this, and I think, “She looks cold.  Maybe she should put on a more substantial shawl.”

  16. I made a cowl on Flickr.Via Flickr:
I knit my handspun merino/tussah silk blend into a cowl for myself. I love wearing cowls in the winter because you can just leave them on all day, unlike scarves.

I went on a green and tan mitten kick at the beginning of the year. I think it’s out of my system now.

  20. blanket progress (by devaburger)
I like how this is coming out so far.  I was going to make it a 2x2 lap blanket, but I think I’ll make it a larger project and work on it throughout the year.
